The Spiritual Condition Of The Churches

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches

Thus saith the Lord: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Rev.3:18.
The spiritual condition of the churches today is clearly revealed in Rev. 3:15-17: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
This prophetic utterance means that God has found the churches to be in a lukewarm or backslidden state. As a result, God has spued the churches out of His mouth meaning He has found them to be distasteful spiritually and has therefore withdrawn His presence and His Holy Spirit from among them.
The churches have fallen into this state of disrepute before God because of:
The spirit of pride and self-righteousness: “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing …” Rev. 3:17. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Prov. 16:18. “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.” Prov.22:4. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:10.
The spirit of Ignorance:“…and knowest not that thou art wretched (of a poor spiritual standard), and miserable (in a pitiable state), and poor (lacking the wisdom and power of God), and blind (devoid of the Truth), and naked (in a sinful state and found not clothed with the robe of righteousness).” Rev. 3:17. “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” Rom.10:3; Ep.4:18; Mt.13:15.
Rejection of the counsel of God: “I counsel thee to buy of me gold (The Truth) tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve (blood of Christ), that thou mayest see.” Rev 3:18. “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” Prov.12:15.
Entertaining the spirit of Antichrist by preaching and teaching false doctrines; teaching for doctrines the commandments of men and doctrines of the devil; rejecting the final authority and authenticity of God’s holy words; rejecting the Sovereignty of the one True God; Son ship of Jesus Christ and the person of the Holy Ghost and instead adopting as their cardinal doctrine the unbiblical and paganistic doctrine of the Trinity concocted by the devil and his bishops at the Nicene Council in 325 AD. Mt. 15:8,9; Mk. 12:29-31; Col 2; 1Tim. 4:1; Heb. 13:9; Mt 16: 13-19.
Commercializing and Profiteering of the gospel of Jesus Christ, His name; the Christian Faith; and all things pertaining to the Bible to get rich quick by entertaining the spirit of greed and filthy lucre. The churches are selling all kinds of merchandise and at the same time adopting all possible tricks of the devil to solicit money from followers and others thus making the House of Prayer a house of merchandise and den of thieves. This is an abomination in the eyes of God. 1 Ti.3:3,8; Titus 1:7,11; 1 Pet.5:2; 1 Cor.9:8; Jn.2:16; Mk.11:17.
Ordaining gay preachers and condoning the practice of gay marriages and homosexuality which is an abomination in the eyes of God. 1 Cor.6:9-10; Lev. 20:13; Rom.1:26-28. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.” Is.5:20. Be warned that it is for this exact reason God expressed His divine wrath and judgement against Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone. No one escaped God’s fiery judgement. Note: what might be legal and right for man according to the laws of society and the government might very well be wrong, illegal, and abominable in the eyes of God. Prov.21:2; 16:2; 14:12.
Compromising with the world and the things of the world: thus transforming the church into a worldly entity rather than the true representation of the spiritual church which is the Body of Christ and as a bright beacon in this dark world. For example, the pulpit is used to propagate a compromised gospel to suit the itching ears of the congregation; the music is no longer sacred; women dress immodestly to come before the presence of God; rejection of the fundamental principles of the Christian life and instead adopting worldly practices. Hence, the churches exhibit a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. They draw nigh unto God with their mouth, and honoureth God with their lips; but their heart is far from God. Mt. 15:7,8; James 4:4; 1 Pet. 1:4; 1 Jn.2:15-18.
Dabbling of the churches in politics: Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” Jn.18:36. In another discourse Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Jn.14:1-3. Jesus is evidently saying here that his kingdom is not an earthly political kingdom ruled by some man but a spiritual one which is yet to come which he himself shall govern. Mt.5:10; Lk.1:32-33. Therefore, the clear mission of the church is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and not dabble in politics. Mk.16:15.
Ordaining women preachers which is an abomination in the eyes of God. “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.” 1 Cor.14:34-35. “Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 1 Tim.2:12-15; 3:1-13; 5:14; 1 Pet.3:1-6; Titus 1:6-9; 2:3-5. However, women do play a very significant role in the will of God: notable examples are Sarah, Hannah, Ruth, Mary, Elizabeth to name a few and of course others during the earthly ministry of Jesus and the Apostles as recorded in the holy scriptures.
This is a call by God for a serious undertaking of a spiritual revolution to bring the church out of her current spiritual decadence into that spiritual state acceptable as the Bride of Christ before Almighty God. This is God’s divine call to urgent immediate action: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Rev.3:19-22.
Urgent warning to all church goers: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 Jn.4:1. Therefore it is incumbent upon every bible believer to try the spirits in the churches you attend and if they do not adhere to the dictates of God’s Holy Words and the outright rejection of the Antichrist doctrine of the Trinity; then God is saying to you now RUN: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 1 Cor.6:14. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 1 Cor.6:17,18; 11 Jn.10,11. Jesus said, ” My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Jn. 10:1-18, 25-29.
